How to make an AI comic from text

Write the premise. Open Create, choose Image, and describe your comic. Include the word “comic” or specify panels, then explain the setup, the turn, and the final joke.
Give the cast some context. Add reference images or select available characters with @ mentions. For a standalone comic, you can start without creating a universe.
Generate and review. Check the artwork, dialogue, panel order, and whether the ending lands. AI results can vary, so revise what needs work.
Publish when it is ready. Add a caption and share your comic on Sloppeh. Generating a result does not automatically publish it.

A comic prompt you can try

A useful prompt gives each panel a job. Keep the cast small and the dialogue short so the visual joke has room to work.

Make a three-panel cartoon comic about an office printer interviewing a human for a job. Panel 1: the printer asks about the human’s experience. Panel 2: the human proudly says, “I work well under pressure.” Panel 3: the printer jams and asks the human to fix it. Keep the same human and printer throughout, with short, readable speech bubbles.

This is a sample prompt, not a generated result. You can adapt the premise, specify a different panel count, or change the final line before creating.

Keep your characters for the next episode

When a one-off joke becomes a series, create a universe in Studio. A universe keeps character references, settings, and lore together so you can bring that context into later comics. Reusing references helps guide the cast’s appearance; check each generated result for continuity.

Do I need to draw or build a universe first?

No. Start with a text prompt. References and universes are optional ways to give a comic more context, especially when you want to reuse a cast.

Is comic generation free?

Public posts can be browsed without signing in. Creation requires an account and available generation access. Check the allowance or plan available to your account before generating.

Can I upload a comic I already made?

Yes. Use Upload a Slop to share finished media. You can enjoy the feed and publish work without generating every image inside Sloppeh.
